MIDI Mixer Desktop shortcut icon

Is it possible to create a desktop shortcut icon pointed to the midi mixer program or a command line to run it?

Thank you

Re: MIDI Mixer Desktop shortcut icon

No, that's not possible because VirtualMIDISynth 1.x is a DLL, loaded into a host application like your MIDI player.
So there's no way to run it stand-alone.
The shortest workaround is to set the "Automatically open MIDI Mixer while playing" option into VMS configurator; this way the mixer will automatically open when the driver is playing.

Another option is to test VirtualMIDISynth 2.x, actually in beta.
Here you'll have a stand-alone component, always running in the system tray area, with the option to open the mixer.

It is possible to launch midi mixer when vanbasco launches?

Re: MIDI Mixer Desktop shortcut icon

The original question referred to VirtualMIDISynth 1.x, where the MIDI Mixer closes each time the MIDI client (VanBasco) closes.

Now in VirtualMIDISynth 2.x the MIDI Mixer is independent from the MIDI Client using it so, when you close VanBasco, the Mixer remains open ready for another client to connect to the same virtual device.
It will also remember its status and position: if you close VirtualMIDISynth (by clicking Exit item on its systray icon context menu), then the next time it opens it will reopen and reposition the mixers as they was at the time it was closed.
