Re: Windows 10 MIDI mapper

A new "cool" product is on its way, almost ready to be released (at least in beta version).

It only needs some fixes then I'll release it to be tested.
Stay tuned...

Windows 10 MIDI mapper

VirtualMIDISynth seems able to displace the Microsoft GS Synth as the default MIDI device in Windows 10.

It would be extremely useful if this method could be used to make a loopback device be the default device instead, so that I could route MIDI from older games to my hardware Roland SC-88 or MT-32 synthesizers (or to VirtualMIDISynth or Munt or whatever!). I'm pulling my hair out right now because there is no way to do this with the tools I can find, but it looks like it should be possible based on the fact that VirtualMIDISynth can take over as the default.
