I use Coolsoft 1.10.1.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate. My sound device is Realtek High Definition Audio.

When I play music at night, I have to use Realtek HD Audio 2nd Output, which is my headphones.

However, the Coolsoft default output audio device does not change automatically, so I have to restart my host application.

Can you change this behaviour?

Actually VMS 1.x configurator only edits configuration file and this file is read by VMS driver component at its startup.
Synchronizing the two is a huge lot of work that will bring to 2.x version of VMS, with a lot of other features and fixes like realtime settings change, multiple devices and so on.

VMS 2.x is in alpha stage and a test version is also available there.

PS: as a workaround for your host software (I told me you're the author), while waiting for 2.x, you could add a feature to close/reopen the MIDIOut causing the setting to be reloaded.
