Dunque, ho provato e quello che posso vedere (dal lato VirtualMIDISynth) è:

  • durante il crossfade non viene aperta una seconda istanza (secondo device) di VirtualMIDISynth, quindi i due MIDI vengono mandati contemporaneamente alla stessa periferica
  • VirtualMIDISynth è reinizializzata (MIDI Reset) solo al termine del crossfade

Il fatto che il reset sia inviato al termine del crossfade fa si che il secondo brano inizi a suonare con la configurazione MIDI del primo: modalità GM/GM2/XG/..., SYSEX, riverberi, ecc.
Se l'inizializzazione fosse fatta all'inizio del crossfade, il problema si sposterebbe al primo brano che terminerebbe con la config del secondo.
Questo è un limite dovuto al fatto di usare la stessa periferica per due brani con configurazione MIDI differente.
E' un po come suonare un brano su una tastiera configurata su "Piano" "mixare" passando ad un'altro brano che usa "Fisarmonica"... ad un certo punto devi cambiare strumento e non lo puoi fare in modo sfumato.

La cosa migliore sarebbe aprire due VirtualMIDISynth (equivalente ad avere due tastiere), ma la verisone 1.x di VMS non supporta la multiistanza.
La prossima versione alpha della versione 2.x dovrebbe avere il supporto iniziale (e sperimentale) per più istanze.
A questo punto, se anche K5 supporterà periferiche multiple, si potrà avere un crossfade perfetto.

Ciao, installando il VirtualMIDISynth mi sono accorto che usando il crossfade tra 2 midi con k5 si sente una sorta di miscuglio strano di note (come se non riuscisse a gestire bene il crossfade), questo avviene solo durante il crossfade poi la canzone parte normalmente, è un problema noto?
