ASIO Sample Rate Problem

I know I'm running old stuff - (Cakewalk Music Creator 3, Vista, M-Audio Key Studio 49i with ASIO USB driver) but . . . I upgraded to the latest version of VirtualMIDISynth and now I am getting the "ASIO Sample Rate not supported by one of the USB interfaces" error.  Also the "M-Audio USB drivers don't show up in the Cakewalk Audio settings choices. I don't think this was happening before.  Everything I can find is set to 44,100.  Any ideas?

The first thing that comes to my mind is FAQ#6 here:

Hope it could help...

Re: ASIO Sample Rate Problem

Right now I am using EDIROL Sound Canvas and M-Audio USB drivers in Music Creator.  Sending sound card output to the KeyStudio 49i.  Am I understanding that I should not be using ASIO drivers? I thought using MME drivers would give too much latency.  Here are some screen shots--thanks for the help--I may need to just keep doing what I'm doing.

Re: ASIO Sample Rate Problem

I can't help you with EDIROL Sound Canvas, you should check if it can run with both modes enabled.

Don't know why switching ASIO/MME also affects MIDI output devices...
ASIO is related to analog digital audio, not MIDI.
