Re: Wav file output when using VirtualMIDISynth with NoteWorthy Composer

Thank you very much for your help .. I was able to get the wav file feature working based on your clear explanation.

I create a wav file of the orchestrated part of my commercial composition using Noteworthy to compose and export a midi file - VirualMIDISynth to create the wav file. I then import the wav file into Cubase and overlay audio tracks (vocal and guitar). Works great.

Thanks again and best regards,

John

Re: Wav file output when using VirtualMIDISynth with NoteWorthy Composer

If you don't need to get the WAV "live" then you should export your Noteworthy project to MIDI, then use VMS MIDI Converter (use VMS Start menu icon to open it, or right click on VMS Systray icon) to create a WAV/MP3 version of the MIDI.
You can play the MIDI with your favorite player (through VMS) to check that everything is ok, then convert it to WAV.

If you need to convert to WAV like (so you've connected Noteworthy MIDI out to VMS) then you need to live-record your sound card output by enabling "Stereo Mix" special sound device.
Have a look at VMS FAQ page for further info: https://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth/faq#faq_record_output

Wav file output when using VirtualMIDISynth with NoteWorthy Composer

Hello,

I would like to create and save a .wav file of the output from my Noteworthy Composer notation. I am using VirtualMIDISynth with the Timbers of Heaven GM SF file for music playback. Can anyone help guide me? I'm more of a composer/writer and not that proficient with the software side. So any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I am using Windows 10 operating system.

Thanks,

John
