Hi,
I would like to report that Serg (the current maintainer of Munt) has successfully created a driver that survives reboots in new Win10.
Previously Munt had the same problems as VMS. Maybe it's important to note that he has done this without purchasing any cerificates to sign the driver. The only problem is that as an unsigned driver it has to be installed in test mode of Win10. The important part that is relevant to VMS is the modified inf file.

Thanks for the link ;)
Disabling driver signature is not an option for me.
It's an "hackish" workaround ok for tech users, but a perfect recipe for a disaster for all the other ones; VMS is targeted to musicians...
I've read the whole thread and found a link to MS community thread where the same issue has been reported (nobody cross-linked me and I haven't seen it yet).

I've posted my reply there.

done as you said but it doesn't work for mecoolsoft wrote:stemarsi wrote:Correction to me doesn't work with this bat file solutionYou must run midi-config-backup.bat immediately after VMS install-repair completes.
After that, you could open the generated backupXX.reg files with a test editor (like Notepad++ or Notepad) and check if they contains a line with midi...=VirtualMIDISynth.dll

It should works. After that, you have to run the restore batch file at every restart.
