That's because the whole object-tree inside the PDF structure is rebuilt, removing old and orphaned nodes...

Hey! As of right now, re-saving by using the "Compress PDF" function is working for the files I was having trouble with yesterday.

I'll send you any files I find not able to work.

Thanks

Re: Some pdf's only report 0, 1, or 2 pages instead of the full amount of pages.

Page count had some changes between PDF specification versions (1.3, 1.4, 1.5, ...), so it could be you've found some PDF with misplaced objects.

Anyway I'd like to have a look to any of these files, if possible.

Feel free to attach a sample file here (the smallest, the better 😉).
If the sample contains some any private/reserved data, please send it privately using the contact form (and specify clearly that I must delete it after this bug has been closed).

Some pdf's only report 0, 1, or 2 pages instead of the full amount of pages.

I've tried re-saving the pdf, compressing, or optomizing, and sometimes it will fix the issue, but some pdf's will not show the correct page count in explorer.

Any current workarounds or fixes?
