Yeah, it works as you can see here with and without asynchronous event processing, well done:

Re: Asynchronous MIDI event processing Causing Volume Issues with MIDI File Converter

Thanks for your detailed bug report.

Even if this could be a BASS bug, I think the safer way to fix it is to ignore and disable async mode for MIDI Converter.
In fact async process is completely useless during conversion, since it's not a realtime task...

Will build a version with this change and post it here for you to test within a few hours...

Asynchronous MIDI event processing Causing Volume Issues with MIDI File Converter

Hi, it's been a while since I've posted anything here, since everything was working without any issue for so long (using VMS daily too), but some bug had to sneak in eventually didn't it?, so here I am haha

Anyways, this is a issue that happens when the new asynchronous MIDI event processing is enabled and you convert a midi with the midi file converter,

for some reason when this new feature is on the first 2 seconds of the exported wav/mp3/flac will be way louder volume than it should and louder than the rest of the song

Luckily since you added a button to disable it I was able to detect the cause of this bug and we can see the same midi with and without it enabled:

Upper is Disabled and lower enabled, as you can see those first 2 seconds are WAY louder than on the disabled/normal version

Some aditional information in case any of this could cause it: I do have pretty weird settings for the midi converter, basically soundfonts at 200% volume and mixer main volume at 25-30%, so the output wav/mp3/flac is always really low volume to reduce the risk of peaking to basically 0%

Cheers
