Ok, I've done the required changes... now show me your content! In MS Office the property Author, Company and category is not displayed with the PDF Property plugin (1.5.1). The Author field is populated on the Document Properties window if I open it in Adobe Acrobat XI
Other properties from MS Word are on the Custom Tab.
Customer, Company, and Category are not displayed.
Kind regards,
Sjoerd de Vries
I created another post, but with a different issue. This one is about not displaying the Author field and Category in Windows Explorer.
Kind regards,
Sjoerd de Vries
I think there was a hickup. It does display Author now. Only the Company and Category fields is not updated.

I need a sample PDF file to analyze.
Please create one (without sensitive data) and attach it here.
Attached a zip with a test file in Word (2013) that I used to create the document properties. Then I used: File > Save as > select PDF (not using a pdf writer or acrobat plugin). I got the same result when I converted the document with Adobe Acrobat.
If I right-click the PDF file and select properties, under details it displays the Title, Authors, Subject, Comments. If I open the PDF and select Document Properties, the other tags "Company" and "Catagory" are added as custom tags. So if display of custom tags is not supported then it's ok if you can confirm that. If these custom properties should work you can check this. For me it's more a "nice to have".
Kind regards,
Sjoerd de Vries
Attached here you'll find a beta version with support for the required properties.
I've made it "beta" because I also updated the compiler used to build it together with some improvements to the parser.
Please let me know if it works correctly on your side.
For the Company and Category I do not see a difference. That's still not displayed. The screenshot is from the documents I send in the previous reply as a test.

Sjoerd de Vries
Could you please check the version of DLLs C:\Windows\System32\PdfPropertyExtension_x64.dll and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\PdfPropertyExtension_x86.dll ?
It should be 1.5.1.999.
If not, have you rebooted after installing it?
Maybe the setup procedure failed to replace the DLL because they were in use and also failed to ask to reboot...
You could also try to kill explorer.exe process with the task manager then start it again (File | Run.. in taskmanager window).
Finally, right click on the PDF file and open the Details tab; do the properties appear there?
I deinstalled it now and reinstalled the newer version. Now I see the files updated and the custom fields are displayed. Great work! it's very nice.
Kind regards,
Sjoerd de Vries
Thanks for reporting it.
I'll investigate why the setup failed, then will release 1.5.2.
Will post here when done...
