Re: Assign instruments in mixer

That option never existed, and won't be probably added in the near future.

VMS is a (virtual) device, so it shouldn't be able to "edit" MIDI programs (instruments) on the fly...
This task is up to the MIDI client (player) you use to play MIDI data.

If your player is missing that option, you could try a man-in-the-middle approach with MIDI-OX; it will receive MIDI data in input, patches them on the fly and redirect its output to VMS.
It should not be so hard to configure it this way 😉.

Assign instruments in mixer

Hi! I just installed the latest version of VirtualMIDISynth and I don't seem to be able to assign instruments to the midi channels in the mixer. Also clicking the Settings icon (little toothed wheel) in the mixer has no effect.

I tried left and right clicks but nothing seems to work. How to I assign instruments to the midi channels?

Thanks

Frank
