Re: VirtualMIDISynth 2.4.0 - Beta

Hello Claudio,

the new release work perfectly. Yesterday it played without stop 4 hours without any kind of problem.

My Windows 7 is installed on a MacBook Air 11", with Bootcamp. The Software is Winlive Pro Synth 8.0.3.

The configuration is with all 4 devices activated, so 4 different soundfont banks, assigned to 4 different output audio port with ESI JD6. I tested it too with RME Fireface 400. No problems.

You gave me a great help.

Thanks again

Re: VirtualMIDISynth 2.4.0 - Beta

Massimo, thanks for your report.
A virtualized environment like yours (usually) could have a lot more issues than a "real" one so it's good to know that it works flawlessy.

Hope that someone else confirms your positive feeling so the new feature could be "released into the wild"...

Re: VirtualMIDISynth 2.4.0 - Beta

Hello Claudio,

I don't know if is a problem of Windows 7 or of the ESI and RME Audio drivers.

I can't assign mono out to each analog out but only Stereo to the Audio card.

Do you think is possible realize a configuration in mono and stereo too? I'm asking too much?

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean something like this?

  • VirtualMIDISynth #1 --> Analog Out 1 (Left)
  • VirtualMIDISynth #2 --> Analog Out 1 (Right)
  • VirtualMIDISynth #3 --> Analog Out 2 (Left)
  • VirtualMIDISynth #4 --> Analog Out 2 (Right)

If yes then... no, BASS does not allow such a low-level control on its streams (AFAIK).
And even if possible, that configuration will be useful only to a very very limited group of very high-level users (and a hell to implement both in the UI and backgroud code) ;)

If I've not understood your request, please elaborate it.

Re: VirtualMIDISynth 2.4.0 - Beta

Hello Claudio,

exactly.

  • VirtualMIDISynth #1 --> Analog Out 1 (Left)
  • VirtualMIDISynth #2 --> Analog Out 1 (Right)
  • VirtualMIDISynth #3 --> Analog Out 2 (Left)
  • VirtualMIDISynth #4 --> Analog Out 2 (Right)

But i read it's an hell realize this option.

It's ok. Thanks! It's already a lot for a free utility

Grazie mille Claudio, Aspettando, userò questa versione come un matto. La testerò e ti farò conoscere ogni tipo di reazione su Windows 10 Enterprise.
