A soundfont I found

Here's a Soundfont I found on the Doomworld forums.
It's called the Miracle Soundfont. It's current version is 1.2, with version 2 being at RC1.

Here's a link

I've added the link on VMS page 😉.

Some suggestions about your page:

  • it was not so easy for me to understand what to download and where to click...
  • mixing German and English translations adds a lot of confusion.
Better to split pages or split languages in two columns or, again, use a color for German and another for English.
This way the users could quickly find their language on the page...

Many people come here to share their soundfont experiments, so I decided to make an topic where you can post and update your soundfont(s) without having to make a thread just for it.

It's very simple, just post here your soundfont's link and some information about it and I'll place a link to your post here. Please keep a single post for link and info and post again only for things such as "New version 1.2 released! Changes: new drum kit "Hip-Hop"...", and keep your info & link post updated via editing. This will keep the thread more organized and I'll update this post only for new soundfonts.

Happy SoundFonting and MIDI-playing!

Re: The Soundfont thread

This is my soundfont. Is fully GM, GS and MT-32 compatible. Is based on the SC-55's sounding. I made it using the Creative 4MB soundfont as basis, i replaced the electric guitar sounds with the Fluid R3 GM guitars, i added more GS voices from the Scc1t2 and some i made them myself and it has new drum sounds based on the SC-55. Happy new year! :)

Re: The Soundfont thread

Found the motherlode here (over 7GB compressed, 100+ soundfonts):
https://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/forum/thread/711

You will most likely need SFPack to unpack these to .SF2 instead of .sfpack

Just unzip the SFPack.zip file somewhere convenient, open SFPACK.exe, ignore the error message about registering shell extensions (if you want, you can probably let it register those by running as admin once, then you can probably get right-click options for .sfpack extensions?).  Then hit "Add Files",  add all the .sfpacks you want to use (unzip them somewhere temporary first), and then hit "Go!"
