if the soundfont is configured to mt32 libary it should work for MT32 midis.

You need a soundfont editor to do that like Awave Studio or another. I would use "munt" MT32 emulator because its the right wavetable sample libary. If u want to configure it in a soundfont u must use the MT32 mapping. Look for mt32 mapping like this site here:

A good created soundfont needs many time to optimized. that's why i said "munt" is a good choice.
MT32, GM/GS and XG have their own different mapping.
I'm programming sounfonts like my "Giant Soundfont" for GM/GS and XG implementation.
